How to train small dogs

The first lesson: Eliminating the need

* when small dogs are newborn should be taken care of training them severely during their first months, before allowing them to roam around the house freely it is necessary to ensure that they adhere to the rules and laws of the house first.

* Initially, a suitable room should be found to keep puppies inside when leaving the house, and the bathroom, kitchen or pantry are all suitable places, as they can be closed on puppies after leaving a quantity of water, food and a bowl of waste enough to be needed during the absence of their owner.

* When the puppy reaches the age of two weeks, you should start teaching him training lessons, and the first lesson is to teach him how to spend his need outside the house, and this is to start by taking a tour outside the house after each meal and repeating the process for two weeks, and this proves in the dog's brain that he must spend his need outside the house after each meal.

The second lesson :

* is to teach him how to play without damaging furniture and household belongings, as puppies when they reach the age of one month and two months tend to bite objects around them, and the best solution to this problem is to allocate a toy for the puppy that is bitable and not easily damaged, such as a ball or the like.

* The dog should be kept away from pieces of furniture and try to river or abuse it when it approaches them, as over time it will learn that it is not intended for it.

The third lesson

* Sitting and the third lesson is to teach her to sit when she is ordered to do so, which is a little difficult in the beginning, as she should not be taught more than one command at the same time to not be distracted, and the right time must be chosen to throw the matter at the puppy, if he receives the command while sleepy, playing or eating, he will ignore it, and over time it may turn into disrespect for its owner.

* This training can be started by talking to the puppy and giving him an order to sit, and if he obeys him he is given a reward that he receives only when he sits in the desired way, and with repeating the process several times a day for two weeks it will be fixed in the puppy's mind.

* A coach may make the mistake of trying to teach his puppy direct orders, such as forbidding a "no" order, so when a dog jumps on a stranger who has given him this order, teaching him its meaning can be very difficult.

* Even if the dog understands that its trainer is breaking it down from what it is doing, it will be limited to what has been distracted from it, for example, it may try to jump more lightly towards the same person or towards another person to jump on it.

* In such a case, the easiest way to control a puppy is to give him a simple command that he was previously trained on, as he can be ordered to sit down or return to his owner to keep him away from the person who is bothering him.

* Like any other creature, dogs are less attached to their habits when they are small, and can be taught the rules of life with humans (such as leaving their droppings only in a specific place) without much effort, but then it becomes a bit difficult.

* In general, training any animal is not an easy matter, it must be trained on everything separately and without being distracted with other commands or exercises, but these beings are finally able to become a close friend of man.

Lesson Four: Walking

* Dogs need to learn to walk, and focus on walking in a certain direction, and can use a partner or friend to do this, by having the partner carry the puppy to some place close to its owner; either inside the room, or within a small space, and then look at the puppy and call him by his name, and can offer him a piece of food from what he likes when calling him; to encourage him to go to his owner, and try to learn to walk.

* You should try to repeat the call to the puppy more than once, and do it several times a day, and he will surely succeed in walking after a few days, if the puppy does not respond from the first time, you should try and not despair, and reward the dog every time he steps by praising him, playing with him, clapping for him, or smiling at him, which will motivate him to learn to walk and focus on a certain destination.
